Status tracking
Permissio tracks progress at two levels: the envelope as a whole, and each individual signer.
Envelope-level status
The envelope status reflects the most restrictive outstanding state across all signers.

| Sent | At least one signer has not yet completed |
| Completed | Every signer has signed and submitted |
| Voided | Cancelled by you |
| Declined | At least one signer clicked Decline |
Signer-level status
Open the envelope detail view to see per-signer progress. Each signer row shows one of:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Waiting | Not yet eligible to sign (earlier signers in a sequential order have not finished) |
| Notified | Email has been sent; signer has not yet opened the link |
| Viewed | Signer has opened the signing link at least once |
| Completed | Signer has filled all required fields and submitted |
| Declined | Signer chose to decline rather than sign |
Timestamps
Clicking a signer row in the detail view expands a timeline showing the exact timestamp for each status transition — when the email was sent, when the link was first opened, and when signing completed.
Stuck signers
If a signer's status has been Notified for more than a day with no activity, the most common causes are:
- The email landed in spam — ask them to check
- The link expired (links expire after 30 days) — resend the notification to issue a fresh link
- The email address was wrong — void the envelope and resend to the correct address
