Notification preferences
Permissio sends email notifications when key events happen on your envelopes. The Notifications settings let you control exactly which of these you receive.
Available notification events
| Event | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Envelope completed | On | All signers have signed — includes attached PDF |
| Signer completed | On | An individual signer finished (useful for multi-signer envelopes) |
| Signer declined | On | A signer clicked Decline |
| Signer viewed | Off | A signer opened the signing link |
| Reminder sent | Off | Permissio sent an automatic reminder to a signer |
| Envelope voided | On | An envelope was voided (useful if team members share the account) |
Changing your preferences
- Go to Settings → Notifications.
- Toggle each event type on or off.
- Changes are saved automatically — no submit button required.
Notification format
All notification emails come from Permissio's delivery address. They include:
- A plain-language subject line (e.g. "Jordan Kim has signed NDA — Acme Corp")
- Key details about the event (who, what envelope, when)
- A direct link to the envelope in the Permissio app
Envelope completed notifications also attach the signed PDF for immediate access without logging in.
Digest vs. real-time
All notifications are delivered in real time — there is no daily digest option currently. If you send high volumes of envelopes and find the notification volume excessive, turning off Signer completed (while keeping Envelope completed on) is the most effective reduction for most workflows.
