Electronic Signature Disclosure and Consent
Effective date: April 28, 2026
Permissio, Inc.
1. Purpose
This Electronic Signature Disclosure and Consent ("Disclosure") explains how electronic records, electronic signatures, electronic notices, and electronic communications are used in Permissio signing workflows.
This Disclosure is presented to signers before they access signature fields. By accepting the consent in the signing experience, the signer agrees to the terms described in this Disclosure.
2. Consent to Electronic Transactions
By selecting the consent checkbox or clicking the consent button in the signing flow, you ("Signer") agree to:
- Use electronic records and electronic signatures for the transaction presented
- Receive electronic notices and communications related to the transaction
- Conduct the transaction electronically in accordance with the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA)
Your consent applies to the specific document or transaction presented in this signing session.
3. Right to Paper Copies
You may request a paper copy of any signed record from the party that sent you the document. Contact the sending party directly for their paper copy request procedure. Fees for paper copies, if any, are determined by the sending party.
4. Right to Withdraw Consent
You may withdraw your consent to use electronic records and signatures by contacting the party that sent you the document before you complete your signature. Withdrawal of consent may prevent electronic completion of the transaction. Withdrawal does not affect the validity of electronic records and signatures already executed before withdrawal.
5. Hardware and Software Requirements
To access and retain your electronic records, you need:
- A device with internet access
- A current web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge — current major versions)
- An active email account or other method used to receive the signing link
- The ability to view PDF files (a PDF viewer or browser-based PDF rendering)
- The ability to save or print electronic records for your own records
6. Ability to Access Records
By proceeding with the signing session, you confirm that you can access the electronic records presented and retain a copy by saving or printing them.
7. Updating Contact Information
You are responsible for keeping your contact information current with the party that sent you the document, so that records, notices, and future signing links can be delivered to you.
8. Permissio's Role
Permissio, Inc. provides the technology platform that enables the electronic signing process. Permissio is not a party to the underlying agreement or transaction unless expressly stated in a separate agreement. Permissio does not provide legal advice and does not determine whether a particular document is appropriate for electronic execution.
The party that sent you the document is responsible for the content of the document, the legality of the transaction, and obtaining appropriate consent for the specific transaction type.
9. Privacy
Permissio collects certain information during the signing session — including your IP address, browser type, and the timestamp of your consent — as part of the audit trail required for electronic signature compliance. This information is processed to establish the integrity and authenticity of your signature under ESIGN and UETA. For more information, see the Permissio Privacy Policy.
